I agree with all of your comments. I have high status on UA. I tried to keep a very positive attitude throughout the whole experience. My wife too. We kept saying what is coming next. We were not let down. I have flown a lot so I know what can happen and how to roll with the punches. Also, I have flown SAS when they had FC and know what the airline used to be like. But from the check-in in Paris through out the whole trip their was a real indifference to what we we expereincing at no fault of ours. Also, we were dealt with in the Business class lounge in CPH and they would not even let us try for standby on a CPH-BGO flight. They insisted we go through Oslo. There were other things that disturbed me also. Boarding procedures in CDG, CPH and Oslo were chaotic and disorganized compared to the way most airlines board flights. There was only a mob of people pushing each other to get to the gate agent to get on. It felt very unsafe. Final insult was we had to pay for a Coke Lights on the Oslo-BGO flight on a Business Class ticket? I am not a whinner but this expereince upset me so much that I wrote this post. I never write about negative flying experiences. Like I said, I can roll with the punches but SAS dealt me a beating. Maybe it was just one of those days and it was my imagination. If so, I stand corrected.
