None of this is new news... nearly every year AS rates poorly in on-time performance.

The "news" is that AS has improved in this regard. On-time performance has steadily increased from 68% in 2000 to 81% in 2003. The 2003 average for all 17 reporting carriers was 82%. (www.bts.gov) Granted, still room for improvement, but better than at just about any point in the past. Of course, TANGO is hardly likely to improve things further.
