AS just needs to fix their schedule to reflect REALITY... rather than their fantasy schedule which they can rarely adhere to.[/B]</font>
I have probably posted this idea on these boards ten times - nothing bothers me more about AS than their on-time performance. And it is CHRONICALLY bad. And what is worse is they typically blame it on something other than AS. Mexico, the weather, the gate situation at LAX, the FAA, whatever. And TANGO makes the problem worse not better. When the FAA was scrutinizing every move by AS they blamed on-time performance problems on the FAA. I understand the FAA was holding things up, but how about changing the schedule to reflect reality. That way I don't need to show up week after week and sit an extra hour waiting. The FAA scrutiny was not a surprise at the time. And when a flight like late afternoon flights out of LAX are late more than 50% of the time, why not revise the schedule to reflect an acheiveable departure? As I have said here before the TANGO system puts schedule performance problems squarely on the passengers back - we wait. And when the system DOES work the entire benefit goes to AS. Passengers can lose with TANGO but we can't gain anything. What we get from TANGO is: more schedule problems, longer waits at the airport, dirtier planes, and a free for all at boarding as 100 people all try to get on the plane at once.
