It's ok to show DL (or passport) for the purpose of name matching. Do not disclose your real DOB or SSN to a retail store under any circumstances. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that you must complete your transaction at any cost (and there's definitely a cost of your confidential info ending up on the dark web).
This ^^^ And if not being willing to disclose that information gets you any crap simply state that you've had your identity stolen before and you do not release that information.
