Frustrating Hyatt reservations -online and phone

I can't believe that Hyatt is not able to provide a 24hour reservation phone service! I've been trying to book two hotel stays online for several hours now, however I always get the message:

Unexpected Error
Unfortunately our booking system was unable to process your reservation request. Please try again.

If you have any questions about your reservation, please call 1-800-633-7313 in the United States and Canada. For international contact information, select the Hyatt Contact Numbers link.
If you then call the number shown on the screen you get the message that reservations is currently closed I also called our Australian GP phone number, however, they are also closed on weekends and don't open until 11pm (local time). Excuse me??? I honestly can't believe Hyatt is this unprofessional! Come on, I thought customer service is one of the great features of the Hyatt chain, and then they can't even maintain a 24h reservation line... I even tried to call other countries' reservation line...negative.

Starwood would at least compensate you for problems with their online booking if you book over the phone. Hyatt is not even giving you a chance to book over the phone, neither do they offer any compensation for the inconvenience! I admit this is the first time I had to book a stay on the weekend and it's very urgent. I guess, my stay will now go to *wood instead...

Julia, if you read this, maybe you can pass this concern on to the appropriate department. I think Hyatt seriously has to do something about this shortfall which I think is not excusable in any respect for a 5star hotel chain.
