Rimowa Warranty for 3rd Party Sellers

Greetings. I apologize in advance if this topic has been answered here before.
I've been drooling over the Lufthansa Rimowa collection ever since I first saw them last year.
Unfortunately, living stateside with no plans to visit Europe anytime soon, I have no way of purchasing a piece other than a 3rd party seller.
My question is, if I were to buy one on a site such as Ebay, would I be giving up the 5 year warranty?
I asked a seller on Ebay if any type of receipt with the original date of purchase would be provided and was told all they could provide was their own invoice.
