This is one of those announcements that should "go without saying" but I guess not! I remember once on an old NW flight, a lot of Chinese passengers immediately got up and started opening the bins, etc., while we were parked some way from the gate. When the plane moved, those passengers stumbled/fell, and I heard the nearby stewardess (as they were called then) say, "well that'll teach them!"
