The difference in weight is 5.5 to 6.4 lbs. according to your table. This is not much difference. Compare that with LuggageWorks Stealth, which is more than 14 lbs. and a much smaller bag (carry on size).

I don't think hard sided luggage that have zippers are an advantage, only hard sided luggage that have some sort of latch. The floppy and weak zipper will be weak spots. In addition, your bag will be wrongly deemed as durable and the luggage handlers will place a lot of weight on it when they load the baggage compartment. Hard sided suitcases will be on the bottom.

Because of your petite size, you will probably find it easier to push a smaller suitcase. You saw the Antler and didn't like the quality.
