Do you get the 2 RPUs with a status match? You can use those to request upgrades on domestic and regional international (Canada, and the northern portions of Latin America, anything eligible for CPU).
The Star Alliance app has a lounge search tool which I've found useful
With a status match to Platinum in 2016 I got 1 RPU. Surprised me because when I did the status match/challenge it was saying that I would not get RPUs. One day I saw that one in my account and then read that the rule had changed and one was the correct number given.
