most of us are aware of the size of the indian community in northern NJ. EK’s ability to connect indian cities (both large and small) to EWR certainly has the potential to affect UA’s india service - and more.
UA (or a union of UA employees) organized protests for EK’s inaugural EWR-ATH; this is much more significant. hooray for competition!

They are essentially moving a flight, as they are getting rid of a flight out of JFK at the same time.
Is it possible this is actually good for United, as it moves some traffic over to Newark where it can connect to United domestic feeders?
