Yeah I guess it will gone once the subsidy expires. NZ and QF are going to fuming that they have to compete head to head on a route subsidised by the Wellington Council, as I guess they will be getting no money to fly that route and SQ are getting it.

E.g. going to Canberra in April and when got tickets SQ was NZD$440 return and NZ/VA was NZD$500 one way.

Melbourne Wellington is already a route that NZ can't make a daily service, so adding a 772 four days a week is not going to be healthy to it and will leave Wellington in a bad spot when the subsidy runs out and SQ leaves Wellington and QF and NZ have the planes deployed elsewhere and can't pick up extra flights.
