So I'm aiming to be in Luanda for all of a spectacular 14 hours in June between Lisbon and Sao Tome. What's better is that it's circa 0700 arrival and 2200 departure with TAAG. Thankfully, the embassy in Moscow has given (reasonable) reassurance a transit visa would be issued for this.

But, has anyone ever done anything like this in Luanda before? I can't imagine there is a huge deal to do nor believing all the danger reports of the city itself.
