I far prefer the touchpad. But admittedly I am a gestalt typist who only uses my thumbs for the spacebar sometimes (and typically not on the laptop). So my thumbs are free to run the touchpad...

And before you say anything typing by gestalt isn't so bad -- I type 80wpm
