Just as an example, if OP misconnects and is placed on the next UA flight, if that were to happen for tomorrow, he would be in a middle or lousy window seat as of right now. For a 6-hour flight, that can be a misery. Better than waiting around for a day or two, but still a misery to be considered at booking.
