I'm not sure about your statistical analysis - 20 of 90 flights arrived 95 minutes late, all twenty getting in at 02:20 rather than 00:45 ?

Connections from London are (normally) blessed with a clean arrival at IST . That means no security queue which is an enormous boost to your progress through the airport.

My experience of a similar missed connection at IST was an automatic offer of hotel stay with a switch to same flight next day, but they quickly settled on rerouting me on another carrier. Best if you have a sensible alternative worked out to present to them.
