A window MCE seat opened up in row 18, so I took that, and if my SWU doesn't clear, hoping the middle seat remains empty. I took a peek at the MCE cabin on my recent flight in J to HKG, and it is quite striking how much roomier it looks than regular economy. While it's true that row 16 on the left and right sides (exit rows) have unlimited leg room, they do look narrower and a bit tight compared to regular MCE seats, and it looked pretty awkward using the tray table. And 16A did look a little uncomfortable having to angle your legs to avoid the door protrusion, but it wasn't much.
Fingers still crossed for the SWU, but otherwise, will be mentally prepared for MCE window
