If the passenger is reasonably mobile on board it shouldn't be an issue no matter how old they are. The ground and air crew will assist as far as is reasonable, and the passenger can request to be seated near the WC if necessary (ring QF in advance to secure this). Depending on vision requirements the cabin crew can provide relevant safety instructions.
