I'd checked in for LAX-CLE right at the T-24 mark.

I then looked at my BP sequence number and it is number 110. Huh? Gotta check with FT.

Based on this thread, I then did a quick flight status search and there's a EWR-LAX flight with the same number (UA1261) before my LAX-CLE flight - which also explains why, when I selected "Where is this aircraft coming from" on our browser, the prior flight that pops up is EWR-LAX which is a 752 and ours, unfortunately, is a 738. App shows the 738 coming from IAD.
