Don't most people have to chuck their own bag in the maw of some beltway or machine away from prying AC eyes?
I doubt a baggage handler will whip out the tape measure for each bag which would be the point of last contact for Air Canada.
The next person will be confused again about OP asking about a checked bag.
In YHZ, the bag loader has visible lasers. I suppose they might only be looking for the tag, but they could be doing size analysis, too.
