Thanks for the information. Seeing as there appears to be a few people on here that know their stuff, I would like to ask......

1) I read that the airport hotel is landside and before immigration? Does that make any difference? i.e. are you able to have your own alcohol in the hotel that you have brought from the UK, or off your flight, for example? I'm being very optimistic!

2) Is it the case that you are not allowed to take any duty free alcohol into Qatar, even if you stay in one of the western resort hotels?
