UA is becoming non competitive on international business class routes. The last 3 years i could easily find reasonable Z or P fares to asia around 6500 which i was happy to book. $8500 i just cant do.
if PQD is not an issue for you there are some super nice consolidator fares right now. Just paid $2100 when UA wanted $4900.
