CX has financial problems, but it does not mean that it is near bankruptcy. It is far from it.
Awards do provide money to the airline. When CX fills a seat with an award it gets money (either from another airline FFP or from internal AM accounting). So availability should not be affected by its financial situation. If financial troubles means that the load factor is lower, then there are more award seats available, But financial problems often mean that the airline has to charge less for a revenue ticket and it is the yield that drops not the load.
Any FFP will undergo changes in the future, and it is hard to predict what will happen to all FFPs.
