I think someone in Anet made a calculation. If BA use A380 to replace B744 in JFK market BA will have 109% more Y seats per flight. That is too many Y seats for already crowded JFK market.
I'm not aware whether this 109% is for short-term or long-term? If that's calculation only for short-term, like 5-years or below, I believe this overcapacity will be balanced by future traffic growth.
