I was on a Qantas a380 in Nov 17 and was told by cabin crew that the a380 was not as fuel efficient as Airbus would like people to believe. It would be interesting to hear from the likes of Lufthansa and Korean Air who operate both the a380 and the 747-8I as to how these two aircraft stack up against each other.

Given that BA already has many more 747-400's than a380's, and given that there is significant commonality between the 747-400 and the 747-8I, would BA be better off buying the 747-8i instead? Even buy some to replace the ageing 747-400 fleet.
