Agreed. But it does happen. Last night on SAT - IAD the FA was working to comfort a rattled couple in F. At one point in diffusing the potential problem she offered offered a snack box. In the end it was taken and seemed to calm everything down.
Being able to provide BoB items, especially when some customers don’t like what’s offered, is a good idea. I pity the “I only eat red meat and potatoes” types in the last row who are offered squash raviolis or whatever.
