~ a year ago, I was departing from MIA with an AC change resulting in too much fuel on the AC for my route (so we were told). Waited hours to de-fuel and by the time the AC was ready to fly, we canceled b/c of weather. AA said go pound sand, you're on your own.

This is something I've wondered. If a flight is delayed because of a mechanical problem and then cancelled because of weather, is there recourse for the passenger or is it considered weather and the passenger is SOL.
