Applying for Nexus can be a pain for U.S Citizens/PR who do not reside within 2-3 hours of the northern border (i.e CA, TX, FL). No doubt Nexus is the better of the two package in relation to GE. However, not everyone has the time, $$, and/or points just to schedule flights and/or hotels, MRs or make the 6-8 hour drive for the interview.
It would be great if there is an option to split the interview appointments into two: 1) US side @ all GE enrollment centers 2) Canadian side @ consulate locations:

I know several friends in CA who wanted Nexus but was turned off by the need to make the special trip to Seattle (nearest) just to do the interview and ended up enrolling in GE instead. If say the Canadian consulate in LA would conduct interviews for Nexus, they could just have another separate interview at a different time at the LAX GE office.
