Flew IAD - OAK Wednesday. Waited 40mins in the long line which stretched up and back the full length of the terminal before entering the "formal" line area under the old departure information boards. The overall experience was chaotic, I really felt badly for families with kids. There must be a better way.

Perhaps IAD could hire some street entertainers or give out chocolate to frustrated pax. I am definately looking at DCA or BWI after having had this experience twice now in the last month.
