In Port Everglades, it depends on the terminal. Some have the kiosks, some don't. But even in the ones that don't, they will frequently have a separate GE line. The last time I encountered that, it consisted of a guy looking at your passport for a second and then waving you on.

I came back into Port of Miami on Monday, and at the terminal used by Royal Caribbean there was a separate Global Entry line but it was not open. It didn't matter though because we were one of the first off the ship and in a taxi to the airport less than 10 minutes after they called our group to disembark.
