Kimpton Aertson Hotel (Nashville, TN)
Kimpton Aertson Hotel (Nashville, TN)
What is your Priority Club status? Spire Inner Circle
Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay? Yes
Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? King Executive / King Deluxe (Award) / King Executive. Upgraded to King Corner Balcony (no suites available for that weekend).
How are the rooms? Very fresh and spacious. Comfortable bed. Thermostat had a hard time maintaining temperature (it was in the low 20s outside) with all of the glass floor-to-ceiling windows. Didn't really make use of the balcony other than to chill my waters and sodas. Some street noise (lots of ambulances due to nearby hospital)
[If you are Spire]
How was your complimentary welcome amenity? Pretty mediocre. A single plate-sized cookie and two truffles with a bottle of Pellegrino from the mini-bar. They did give me a bouquet of balloons for my birthday, though.
Did you raid the minibar? If so, what did you take? Yes - Righteous Felon Beef Jerky ($10)
Were you offered a Chef's Taste at Dinner, If so, what did you receive? No. We did have regular breakfast at Henley one weekday morning at it was ok.
Did you use the free spa credit / did the hotel participate? If so, was it a good value? No / Hotel does offer spa services.
What was good and what was bad?
Good - Friendly staff, fresh decor, good selections of beverages and canapes during Wine Hour. Walking distance of Hattie B's (hot fried chicken).
Bad - Mediocre amenity, some road noise. Not walking distance to The Gulch and touristy areas.
Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Moderate value at $250/night. I'm not planning to visit Nashville again, but if I do, I might look at the Indigo.
