Green card holders don’t need to go through any background check in India. You are eligible for global entry the moment you get your green card.

Also, if you didn’t have a green card, any address on an Indian passport issued outside of India is not trustworthy in the eyes of Indian authorities, as it has been issued without police verification, whether the address in the passport is of US or India.

Its worth noting that future Indian passports wont have address, spouse name and parents’ name listed.
