I have started traveling internationally regularly over the last year and thought about applying for Global Entry as I have a Green Card. I applied through the TTP website on Jan 8 2018. I havent received any email from the Indian Passport Office regarding to appear for an interview with PSK. I had renewed my passport in Washington D.C embassy when my passport expired and I have a US address on my passport. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with Global Entry and having their passport issued in a US consulate and did they receive email once the applied.
Green card holders don’t need to go through any background check in India. You are eligible for global entry the moment you get your green card.
Also, if you didn’t have a green card, any address on an Indian passport issued outside of India is not trustworthy in the eyes of Indian authorities, as it has been issued without police verification, whether the address in the passport is of US or India.
Its worth noting that future Indian passports wont have address, spouse name and parents’ name listed.
