My view on this sort of thing is that one has a >90% chance of it going fine. On the minority of times it does go wrong, it's often some generalised cluster.... which is hard to predict a good way out of and you just have to take it how it comes.
So, take the connection as you have it, unless you get sudden info that makes it much less likely (snow predicted in London, etc) in which case decide what to do based on the info when you get it.
If things go pear-shaped very suddenly, remember there are also Cathay Pacific services you could be rebooked on as well as the later BA flight.
