I have 1F and 1J booked with AA miles for the beginning of our honeymoon in June. Obviously I want to bump up the 1J to F. I’ve read that F availability has a good likelihood to show up T-2 weeks of the flight. Until then, should I keep checking to see if another F award shows up? Or does Cathay only ever release 1F for a flight and then wait until T-2 to release more?
If it was my honeymoon, I would certainly keep checking, as you have nothing to lose. Two weeks before is when you'll really see some activity, although there's nothing to say a seat couldn't drop in before then.
