I'm flying GLA-LHR-HKG on Sunday. Corporate TA has booked me on the BA1489 arriving in LHR at 1650, then BA31 departing LHR at 1825. This gives 95 minutes for the connection, assuming the GLA-LHR flight arrives on time.
This would be my first time on the A380, albeit only in WTP, and I've managed to grab what seems to be a decent seat (65A) - it would be annoying to miss it and finish up on the later 777 with no seat choice.
What do the people here think? Should I change to the earlier GLA-LHR flight and spend 2+ hours waiting at LHR? I have lounge access, so it could be a comfortable if dull 2 hours. Or am I worrying pointlessly and there's very little chance of the inbound being delayed enough to cause problems?
If the GLA-LHR is on time you will have loads of time. No security to worry about so a quick wizz upstairs to the lounge then out to the C gates. I would be more than comfortable with this connection off a domestic.
Keep an eye on the snow at GLA, as that might be an issue today, but GLA are very good at clearing snow.
