Advice in Italy trip (venice, osolo)

I have a few free days and just a little time off to see Venice and Osolo, having never been to either. I thought I'd seek the advice of experienced folks having been there. I've reserved 3 nights at the Danieli in Venice mid-July, and since I'm flying into Venice my understanding is that I don't need a car there.

After Venice I thought I would take advantage of the Cash&Points offer, and I reserved 2 nights at the Starwood property in Osolo. I talked to the hotel in Venice and they suggested I rent a car for the short drive to Osolo, but I could also get other forms of transportation. I guess a car would be more pratical in Osolo.

I would conclude my visit by driving back to Venice to fly out from there.

I realize more days would be better, but am somewhat limited due to availability of vacation, etc. I would be leaving and returning this trip out of Brussels, from which there seems to be quite a few options - RyanAir being a seemingly cheap one out of charleoi.

Does anyone have any recommendations on this itinerary, inlcuding both these Startwood properties (Danieli in Venice, and the one in Osolo)? I am a PLAT SPG member.

Thanks.
