Do you realize that we are talking about a plane ride? What would the wife have to fend against? It's not like she would be wandering alone in the desert. In addition, she would have her daughter, son in law and grand-kids to entertain her. Quite frequently my wife and I are not sitting in the same class. Sometimes I'm the one in Business or First, sometimes it's my wife. Depends on what my place of employment pays or if my wife thinks that Business is affordable or if she can get an award seat. And the reality is that even in the same class it's disruptive to the other passengers if people are always shifting seats.
