I'd be interested to hear a few more reports too, as I often use Ryanair when positioning for ex-EU long haul flights. I travel light, with only an (approx) 55x40x20cm North Face rucksack which is always slung over my back. It's usually around 7-10kg in weight. I've never once been stopped to have the bag weighed and measured by any airline the world over, even when they are pulling wheelies, and really don't want to take the risk of my bag being checked. Reckon I'm worrying over nothing here?
The bag does fit under the seat in front if it really has to, but of course being my only bag it usually goes up top.
In an ideal world, Ryanair would specifically allow those with just one non-wheelie bag of the larger dimensions to bring it on board.
