This seems wrong to me. It's like the hot element has been forgotten / missing! I'm sure even now a Medium band PGML (pig meal) is a full breakfast plus a yoghurt pot or similar plus hot bakery pass. I did think there was a choice anyway between a full English or a veggie breakfast on a first come first served basis (ordering a SPML would I think mean you're not catered anything else though) so if a lacto-ovo veggie is somehow different, I don't understand why.

They used to have fruit on Band 3s as standard, before Club catering was upgraded.
I think 'simplification' means that a number of special meals have all been combined to the lowest common denominator as to what people can eat - hence a plate of fruit.
