The above approach has worked for me at Amex, BofA, Chase, and Citi. The only place it didn't work was obscure FNBO.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but to get a business card without lying on the application, don't you need to have (or plan to have) some sort of business or other revenue generating activity? While I realize the standards are rather loose, I'd run into issues with my employer if I were to have other sources of income.
