I'm far from a WN fan, but this is no different on other carriers. Schedules change all the time. Delays get worse and they lessen,. Aircraft are reassigned to get the most number of people to their destination as close to schedule as possible.
The notifications are useful if you might consider a different flight. But, they are not intended to nor should you change your plans.
Apologies as it does not seem I described this "issue" properly. Yes, schedules and delays change all the time and there is nothing for us to do about that. But If they are significant enough to warrant a change on the website, why does the text or email notification not happen as well, reliability? If I'm notified at 7am & 9am for a 12pm revised departure, why do they suddenly stop when changes happen after that? Two and done programmed in somehow?
