I was checking out some hotels for Hong Kong for my sister and I did this search:
1 adult/2 children - I got 3 hotels

Then I changed it to: 2 adults/2 children and there were no hotels available.

Why is this the case?
Its still the same number of rooms (1 room) unless they feel that 1 adult and 2 children can fit in 1 room, but 2 adults and 2 kids will not fit in the same size?

How strict are they on the number of adults? Can I put down 1 adult and then have both my sister and brother in law show up?
