--------------

Antipasto starter was hit/miss - the prosciutto was rolled with mozarella cheese and was tasty. Carrots were pretty basic (I added them to my salad). Eggplant was overcooked and tough. The dip was just strange - tasty, but strange. Crostini *looked* freshly toasted/buttered, but very chewy/tough. Salad was basic. Soup was good - FAs were asking each person if they wanted it, so they didn't have to pour it for each guest since it was very turbulent (it was being poured out of what looked like a fancy silver coffee pot).

I had the steak - it was a little overdone, but I really liked the sriracha butter. There was a LOT of butter though - it nicely coated the veggies but be careful eating it as the butter will drip on you. The veggies themselves were fork tender but still with texture - I liked them. Serving everything on a cedar plank was a nice touch too.

Service in the D1 cabin was a bit hit/miss. When I arrived at my seat, the packaging around my bedding, amenity case, and headphone bag were all torn open. They also gave me the wrong amenity case (the hard cover one [which is given on West-bound flights] vs. the soft cover one [going east-bound]). When I asked politely for new - they brought me new bedding but the same hard-cover amenity case. Since I haven't gotten the soft cover one yet, I politely asked for the soft cover one and was told I was out of luck. Since I don't flight D1 hardly ever, I was disappointed by this. My seatmate traded with me, which was nice.

Flight crew apparently forgot to do a second cabin service to Y/C+. They did do hot chocolate chip cookies in D1 but only ever did one service in Y/C+ (the complementary lunch service). Also, they ran out of overhead bin space in the back and several individuals had their bags placed in empty D1 bin space. As such, several came into the D1 cabin to retrieve their things throughout the flight, which seemed to give permission for others from the back to come forward and use the D1 bathroom (coming through the curtain). Flight attendants were not enforcing it.
