DL16 was only delayed 30 mins and will arrive at LHR at 06.06. There's a curfew until 04.30 at LHR, so it would still have arrived well after the curfew ended anyway, had it left on time!
But no one wants to arrive at LHR at 5AM, so the delay makes sense. Honestly I'd much rather DL delay a TATL flight than it arrive 30+ minutes early. Nothing worse than sitting on the tarmac waiting for passport control to open.
Looking at today's flight times, that tailwind must be wicked. Most of the JFK departures are ~5hr30min flight time. On BOS-LHR, today's BA flight is 4hr59min.
I'd hate to have bought J/F today.
