If you're in business class the whole way, you shouldn't have to pay for the bike.
Re re-checking in YVR: make sure LH tags the bag all the way to YQQ and you'll be fine.
What is your return itinerary? The one potential issue would be that if you're flying out of YQQ, AC only has Y on the YQQ-YVR leg. You could potentially face an AC agent trying to charge you for the bag since you're in Y there. You ultimately shouldn't have to pay, but it could be a process.
