Absolutely not. Don't do it.
Two reasons: first, most every airport served by American Eagle s subject to frequent weather delays, as is LAX. I often connect in LAX from SFO and the delays are routine.
Second, to go from what is euphemistically called the "Eagle's nest" to the rest of the airport requires you to stand in line and take a bus. Under good circumstances, this can take 30 minutes.
