Sorry to ‘hijack’ this thread, but I am a bit confused about this status thing (currently I have no status – well I have joined the Executive Club and have Blue status on joining in December just gone). Therefore, this points thing is all new to me.

I have the following trips booked with BA as follows (All business class booked with the military fares discount as I am a UK War Pensioner). The BA website shows the following points:

1. March 2018 – Club Europe - Manchester to London and return (80 Tier points and 1500 Avios points.

2. March/April 2018 – Club World – Heathrow to Albuquerque USA (via Chicago) and return (360 Tier points and 15,594 Avios points).

3. May 2018 - Club World – Manchester to Boston USA (via LHR) and return (360 Tier points and 12,302 Avios points).

Total 800 Tier points and 29,396 Avios points.

So what status do I get once I complete these flights? From what I can see the Tier points would give me ‘Bronze’ level after the MAN/LHR/MAN and LHR/ABQ/LHR flights. Is this correct?

After I have travelled trip No 3 (MAN/Boston/LHR) I collect another 360 tier points. Does this then give me silver status? (It says on the website something about 600 points plus four flights – do the trips above count as one flight each or as they are return tickets, two flights?).

I know it is probably not an exact science, but roughly where would 29,396 Avios points get me to and back again in economy/business within in Europe?

I may have another trip to Berlin for a reunion coming up later in the year, roughly how many tier points/Avios would I receive in Club Europe and how much further would that get me Avios wise?

Sorry if the above is a little basic to some of you experienced travellers.

BM
