I would recommend an ex EU Qatar sale booking to get the bulk of the tier points you need. Add in the positioning flights and a cheap BA sale booking to give you the 4 BA flights required comes in at just over £1K.

Our Easter holiday to Singapore flight costs as follows:

Qatar sectors earning 560 tier points - £863.49
BA positioning flights earning 30 tier points - £141

You can pick up the last 10 tier points in the current BA sale for under £50.
