From the photos, the rooms look fairly similar in design and furnishings to the Marriott up the street. I am watching the rates to see if the Autograph gets to near par with the Marriott, but it would certainly save me that daily walk or bus ride as Shinagawa is my portal to the rest of Tokyo, and having the subway behind the hotel is an added bonus. How are Plats treated? I have yet to ever receive an upgrade of any kind at the Marriott, and during my last stay, the room was so small we had to climb over one another to get in and out of bed, so if the lounge and restaurant breakfast compares well with the Marriott, I might be open to try the Autograph.
