Why is Flight Status Notifications Useless and no outrage or urgency to fix?
Treated the MIL to a points ticket for a visit today, 11:15am BWI to ISP.

I left MY cell# in her reservation and at 7:15am got a delay notification to 12pm and another text at 9:18am with a gate change.

(Clearly they "took" the plane for another route, that happens all the time on the BWI-ISP route from my experience, that's not here or there).

Anyway despite at least another 2 delays and gate changes, that was it. No further texts. Additionally, I setup notifications from my PC and the app. Never received an single alert.

Why is Flight Status Notifications so useless and no outrage or urgency to fix, this has been going on for years? Why bother?
