There used to be 3 things that I would do when arriving in a hotel room but now only 2.
1. Check the clock. Some joker may have set it 12 hours wrong or set the alarm to ring at 3 am.
2. Check under the bed for money. Once I found a quarter. Another time, I found sanitary napkins unopened.
3. (no longer) Do as a Flyertalk thread said, to check behind the drawers for porn. However, now few people read magazines anymore.
